Dear Friends of Taranaki Retreat
Thanks for visiting our blog page and for catching up on our news.
The most significant news to report is the personal messages of encouragement we have received regarding the establishment of this facility, especially from some asking when it will be open, and how they might go about booking a stay, times being a bit tough.
We are always keen to welcome new visitors or to recruit extra volunteer help. Gumboots will be a necessity in this weather! There's plenty to do, and a couple of hours can make such a difference.
Keep watching progress on the blog, meanwhile, or visit our Facebook page (Taranaki Retreat). A sponsor is gifting one dollar for every 'like' the page receives - how cool is that?!
Also, (if you're local) do tune in to our weekly "Time Out" show on Access Radio Taranaki - Wednesdays 10am - 10.30am 104.4FM for updates and excellent music!
During the week that just was, we put in some retaining, worked hard on clearing the stream, dug some trenches for services, and cleared masses of fallen trees from one of the boundaries. The photos include the moment of triumph when a rotten tree was successfully hauled out of the waterway... WOOT!
Thanks so much for your support...
