Kia ora, Friends
Several months ago, Robyn got in touch with us, and offered to paint a mural in the Retreat Family dining area. Robyn has done some amazing artwork around New Plymouth - indoor and outdoor.
In the mural, she has captured a sense of peace; the presence of our sacred mountain, and the beauty of the seascape. It is a masterpiece.
Thank you to Robyn - and to Vaughan, for the hours of time he put into making the frame just right.
Worth seeing in the flesh!

It is with indescribable gratitude that we acknowledge the support, for the Retreat, of the Joe Garage Charity Cycle Riders, "Pedalling for the People."
Taranaki Retreat is one of the supported charities being sponsored by these amazing, incredible people. To quote from their website :
"On 15th February 2016 36 riders will partake in a 9 day challenge cycling from Cape Reinga to Cape Palliser over 1300km, averaging 148.6km per day. Our goal is to raise in excess of $150,000.
Outlined here under is a snapshot of the daily distances involved and overnight stops. We decided to ride East into the rural community to again raise awareness for the Rural Support Trust as there is also an endemic of depression and suicide in this area. "
